Report on the play 'Daakiya Drugs Laaya'

Daakiya drugs laaya is a journey from law to justice, from simple to complex and from hatred to love. It encompasses the role of free legal aid in delivering justice to the needy. Law students, lawyers or anyone else from the legal fraternity has a duty towards the society. But in today’s scenario this duty is being ignored because of greed. Greed ultimately feeds the ego and there is love no more. Whereas some sense of social responsibility not only caters others but one’s own being as well. This concern for society is an essential faculty of human character. Those who feel it and put in their efforts to make the society a better place, ultimately find their own selves replenished.

Visit by Mr. Rajeev Ashish

February 27, 2012

Today, the dramatics sub group of the CLC Legal Aid society went into its rehearsal like other days. But there was a difference, this being marked by a fresh annihilation for the students of the group by an eminent theatre and media personality Mr. Rajeev Ashish. He is currently running a theatre group by the name Anveshan and a media group by the name Media Weavers. His lecture introduced a sense of newness within day-to-day curriculum of students. His experience in theatre, media and life imparted a sense of confidence amongst the students. Delivering his lecture he initiated a discussion on “Acting in Life “& “Acting on Stage”. This gave the students a room to peep into some new areas of their mental and intellectual faculties. Keeping it simple the presence and style of interaction of Mr. Rajeev Ashish was much something to learn in itself.

The Story behind the scene

We are free is a tradition,a venture of theatre as well as the gelling of the team for this venture was charismatic especially with the students of 1st year who as just entrants into law,We discussed fundamental principles and legal issues to prepare the format for presentation and then technical touch was given for making it entertaining.

Are we free ??? Wake up call for all of us

October 21, 2011
After several decades, students of Campus Law Centre took a path-breaking initiative of exploring the domain of “Theatre”.

The expression “freedom” being the genesis of our liberties and rights, which were given to us by nature and later on recognized by our Constitution. Whenever any individual exercises his liberty, he understands it as a term without any barriers. This misconception is highly illusionary on part of the individual.

We Are Free: An Attempt To Unravel The Real

When man settled himself, when civilization started growing, various creative forms also found space for their growth. The creative one among them nurtured these forms with great care, thus mankind was gifted with a great form that came to be known as theatre. When his creative skills adorned with ornamental wings, started flying sky high, we were gifted with n number of plays that transcended the boundaries of time and space. Theatre in different parts of the world played different roles like shaping the society and reforming the thought processes. Its appeal never got limited to any particular class, creed or religion; rather it acted as a bridge that brought different segments under one roof.
