Internship at Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee(DHCLSC)

The Legal Aid Society, Campus Law Centre invites applications from the member students of Legal Aid Society, Campus Law Centre for internship with the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee. The duration of the internship will be two weeks having the following two components of one week each:

• Visiting Tihar Jail and assisting the jail visiting advocates

• Overseeing the Front Office of Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee at Delhi High Court

                                                                        

The timing of these visits will be in the afternoon so as not to conflict with the classes at CLC. Students successfully completing the internship will be awarded certificates. And like last year it is expected that the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee will pay the students a daily allowance.

Interested students may apply by sending a mail to clc.legalaidsociety@gmail.com latest by Wednesday, January 16, 2013 along with their CV (only one page).

Note:-Students who are applying must leave a photocopy of their college identity card in room no.45 at the earliest.

Seminar on occasion of National Services Day

Legal Aid Society has nominated 10 students to participate in the celebration of National Legal Services Day on 9th November 2012 at Indian Law Institute . The occasion will be graced by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Altamas Kabir , Chief Justice of India.

All participants are directed to reach the venue before 4:30 pm and carry their respective passes and identity card. 

Legal Aid Society presents a short play "Pagal Kaun...?"

Legal Awareness Camp at Vishwavidyala Metro Station on 26th October 2012

The Legal Aid Society of Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi had organized a legal awareness camp with RTI as its theme at Vishwavidyala Metro Station on 26^th October 2012.

The zeal of holding such a camp lured the volunteers to come up with an innovative idea- they summarized various rules and provisions given under RTI Act and the procedure involved (ranging from filing the first application to first appeal) in a flowchart form so as it to make it easy for a layman. Such an idea was executed on a pamphlet and copies of the same were distributed in an around the metro station premises.

Legal Awareness Camp on RTI

This to inform all the members of Legal Aid Society that we are going to organize Legal Awareness Camp on Right to information on 26/Oct/2012 (Friday) in the Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station premises.The timing will be 9:30 am to 3 pm . Those member students who are interested in spreading the awareness on RTI are hereby directed to register themselves by sending a mail to clc.legalaidsociety@gmail.com latest by 24/Oct/2012 (5 pm)

Those member students who are willing to register themselves should possess sound knowledge of the RTI Act, 2005. We require only 4 volunteers and they will be selected after the screening process.

Orientation Programme of NGO Swechha in association with Legal Aid Soceity

All students who are willing to be volunteer in Swechha initiative are suggested to attend the Orientation Programme.
